| 16 | 淮水: | 縣故蔣國，周公之後也。《春秋·文公十年》，楚王田于孟諸，期思公復遂為右司馬。楚滅之以為縣，漢高帝十二年，以封賁赫為侯國。城之西北隅有楚相孫叔敖廟，廟前有碑。淮水又東北，淠水注之，水出弋陽縣南垂山，西北流歷陰山關，逕二城間，舊有賊難，軍所頓防。西北出山，又東北流逕新城戍東，又東北得詔虞水口，西北去弋陽虞丘郭二十五里。水出南山，東北流逕詔虞亭東，而北入淠水。又東北注淮，俗曰白鷺水。 |
