《第五十七卷大同叛卒》
17  | 無如下多獷悍，叛服不常；上鮮方略，剿撫均失。以故鑒、忠授首，郭疤復起；氈兒既斃，季富又興。脫巾相尋，勢若蝟毛，此固不可以剿也。又若泣訴天祐，更焚王振；縛獻胡雄，旋殺李瑾。磨牙相向，狀同瘈狗，此又不可以撫也。逮至劉源清斬關大殺，李文芝決水灌城。而後獸不走險，鹿不擇音。非馬穎厚結元海，即懷恩外誘吐番。許河西以賂秦師，指金帛以酬回紇。邊關重險，幾於拱而授之矣。所幸樊繼祖單騎直入，張瓚麾退王師，發粟賑饑，鼓吹高宴，亂卒憂危，自茲釋矣。譬之子儀入河中而一府無譁，秀實入軍門而眾皆解甲，無他，開誠布公，推以赤心而已。然則亂延十祀，變凡七起者，非真豺豕性成，威惠兩絀也。特以上下相蒙，弓影之疑蓄於中；恩信不著，投抒之說動於外也。 |
