185  | 樾謹按：餐字《說文》所無葢卽飧字也《詩·伐檀篇》《正義》引《說文》曰：飧水澆飯也今《說文》無此語然水澆飯為燈則古有此義故伐檀篇《釋文》引《字林》曰：飧水澆飯也《玉篇》食部曰飧水和飯也《釋名》釋飲食曰飧散也投水於中解散也並其證也疑古本《說文》作飧餔也●夕食，一曰水澆飯也。又出重文塗曰飧或從水今本缺一曰水澆飯也六字而重文飡又移置餐篆之下皆非許書之舊說詳余所著字義載疑賢字從尸從水尸者夕之變也水者水之變也葢其字從夕從水合飧、湌兩體而一之耳。飧為水澆飯，故有雜義。《玉篇》以為水和飯，和與雜、義相近也。《玉篇》又有䬤字，亦卽飧字也。篆文飧作𩚏，夕在食上，引而長之則成䬤矣。又加「水」於其中，則成𩛻矣。顧野王以𩛻為饡古文葢因古書或叚飱為饡故誤耳。瓚之通作飧，猶飧之通作饡也。王氏《經義述聞》不知𩛻卽飧字，而以為字當作●從食、㞡省聲，近于臆造矣。 |
