| 13 | 唐河南府伊闕。縣前大溪，每僚佐有入臺者，即水中先有小灘漲出，石礫金沙，澄澈可愛。牛僧孺為縣尉，一旦忽報灘出。翌日邑宰與同僚列筵於亭上觀之，因見耆宿詢其事。有老吏云，此必分司，御史非西臺之命；若是西臺，灘上當有鸂■〈水鵣〉雙立前後；以此為驗。僧孺因舉杯祝曰，既能有灘，何惜一雙鸂■〈水鵣〉。語畢俄有鸂■〈水鵣〉飛下，不旬日果拜僧孺西臺監察。夫天之示人，亦欲知一班一級皆有定數，其所以得之者豈人力哉。談藪 |
