19  | 嗚呼！小人之殺君子，君子弗避焉者，假以君之威靈，誣以國之刑典，既分義之不可逃；而其死也，昭昭然揭日月以正告於天下，則奚必死之愈於生哉？凡小人之賊賢以亂國者，類出於此。唯理宗之世，史嵩之當國，其殺人獨異於是。忌之也愈甚，而仇之也愈隱。議論弗爭也，祿位弗奪也，酬酢如相忘也，宴笑如相好也，投酖於杯酒盂羹之中，倉卒以死，而片語不能自伸。天子莫能測其械，盈廷莫能訟其冤。若此者，猶與之共立於朝以相抵啎，是抱蝮以寢而採堇以茹也。則誠所謂巖墻者矣。焉有君子而隕其生於杯酒盂羹者乎？需遲顧眄，不勇退於崇朝，不亦惑乎？ |
