《卷三 辨證一》
14  | 世以玄為淺黑色，璊為赭玉，皆不然也。玄乃赤黑色，燕羽是也，故謂之玄鳥。熙寧中，京師貴人戚里，多衣深紫色。謂之黑紫，與皂相亂，幾不可分，乃所謂玄也。璊。赭色也。「毳衣如璊」音門。稷之璊色者謂之穈。穈字音門，以其色命之也。《詩》：「有穈有芑。」今秦人音糜，聲之訛也。穈色在朱黃之間，似乎赭，極光瑩，掬之粲，澤熠熠如赤珠。此自是一色，似赭非赭。蓋所謂璊，色名也，而從玉，以其赭而澤，故以喻之也。猶鴘以色名而從鳥，以鳥色喻之也。 |
