1  | 胡元煒之初仕也，告貸戚友，得數百金，將入都捐從九雜職。方在渡口僦舟，忽有一人來共渡，與語甚洽，因結伴同行。入都，僦屋同居。月餘，其人忽問胡曰：「子來何事？」曰：「將捐官。」曰：「盍將履歷示我。」胡示之。數日，忽謂胡曰：「吾已為子上兌，捐知府矣。子攜來之物，即可作歸費。大丈夫生當斯世，何必齷齪為小官。且朋友有無相通，我有餘財，敢不為子圖耶？」胡驚喜拜謝，云不敢忘德而已。 |
