23  | 史宮室崇侈侈惡之大也。齊慶封獻車，季武子美澤可以鑑，侈將以其力斃，治宅甲諸第，奢泰則下不遜而國貧，以酒為池，懸肉為林，春申君客三千餘人，其上客皆躡珠履。易傳曰：上不儉，下不節，孽火燒其室。劉穆之性奢，食必方丈，旦輒為十人饌，未嘗獨餐。何曽性奢豪，每燕見，不食，大官所設食日萬錢，猶曰：「無下筯處」。 何邵驕奢簡貴，亦有父風，食必盡四時之珍異，一日之供，以錢二萬為限。石崇以奢豪矜物厠上，常有十餘婢侍列，皆有容色，置甲煎粉，沈香汁，有如厠者，皆易新衣而出。劉寔嘗詣石崇家如厠，見有絳紋帳裀褥甚麗，兩婢持香囊。寔便退，笑謂崇誤入卿內，崇曰：「是厠耳」。石崇與貴戚王愷、羊琇之徒以奢靡相尚，愷以𥹋澳釡，崇以蠟代薪。愷作朱絲步障四十里，崇作錦步障五十里以敵之，崇塗屋以椒，愷用赤石脂。 石崇財産豐積，室宇宏麗，後房百數，皆曳綺繡，金翠絲竹，盡當時之選，庖膳窮水陸之珍，魏髙陽王雍，一食直錢數萬，李崇曰：「髙陽一食，敵我千日。韋陟窮治饌羞，擇膏腴地蓺穀苗，以鳥羽擇米，每視庖中所棄，其直猶不減萬錢，宴公侯家，雖極水陸，曽不下筯。 |
