24  | 戊寅，封后府右都督李贤为忠勤伯，赐玺书曰：「尔昔恭顺天道，归我皇祖，继奉我皇考之命，以书学侍予，蚤夜惓惓，小心谆切，久而不懈，予念尔未尝忘之。今朕缵承天位，图报前劳，虽尝进尔禄位，而未惬朕志。今特封尔为忠勤伯，食禄千一百石。敕吏部赐尔诰命，尚强医药，力饮食，颐餋精神，益膺寿福，以副朕眷待之意。」贤，鞑靼人，旧名丑驴。元末官至兵部尚书，洪武中归附，赐姓名李贤，以属燕府译文，侍上恭慎，久而逾笃，擢纪善。太宗皇帝靖內难，以功累升都指挥佥事。上即位，再升后府右都督。至是，贤年将八十，病剧，上闻而悯之，遂有是命。 |
