9  | 三十一年闰五月，太祖不豫，遣中宫召上，已至淮安。太孙与齐泰等谋，诈令人赍𠡠符，令上归国。及太祖大渐，问左右燕王来未，凡三问无敢对者。乙酉，太祖崩，是夜即敛，七日而葬，皇太孙遂矫诏嗣位，改明年为建文元年，逾月始讣告诸王，且止毋奔丧。上闻讣，哀毁几绝，日南向恸哭，而朝廷政事一委黄子澄、齐泰，二人擅权怙势，同为蒙蔽，政事悉自己出。变更太祖成法而注意削诸王兵矣。 |
