司馬英公李敬業本眉州刺州，坐事貶及弟敬猷盩厔令，免官、唐之竒、給事中貶括蒼令、駱賔王、貶臨海丞。杜求仁、正，倫之姪，以詹事司直貶黟令。魏思溫御史被黜。皆失職怨望，乃謀起兵，遂矯詔殺揚州長史，開府庫，赦囚徒，旬日間得勝兵十餘萬，復稱嗣聖元年。敬業自稱匡復。上將復求得貎類濮王賢者，置之軍中，云賢不死，逃至此，令其舉兵移檄州縣，畧曰：偽●朝武氏者，人非溫順，地實寒微，昔充太宗下陳，嘗以更衣入侍，洎乎晩節，穢亂春宮，宻隱先帝之私，隂圖後庭之嬖，踐元后于翬翟，陷吾君于聚麀，殺姊屠兄，弑君䲴母，人神之所同嫉，天地之所不容，包藏禍心，竊窺神器，君之愛子，幽之于別宮，賊之宗盟，在委之以重任，一抔之土，未乾六尺之孤何！太后見檄，問誰所為，或對曰：「駱賔王」。太后曰：「宰相之過也。人有如此才，而使之流落不偶乎？」遣左玉鈐衛大將軍李孝逸將兵三十萬以討敬業，追削其祖考官爵，發冡斵棺，復姓徐氏。
