39  | 周起元之逮也，由於李實之疏，李實已逮問大辟矣。一日，上召對，特宣刑部署部事侍郎丁啟鱸唬骸襖釷狄話福有疑惑無疑惑？有暗昧無暗昧？」啟鱟啵骸胺鈧跡九卿科道會問過，據實回奏。」上曰：「李實何以當決不待時？」啟齠裕骸襖釷滌肜鈑勒旯股逼咼，不刑自招。」上曰：「豈有不刑自招之理？」因問吏部尚書王永光，永光對：「李實初不肯承，及用刑，然後承認。」上曰：「重刑之下，何求不得。李實為魏忠賢追取印信空本，令李永貞填寫，如何含糊定罪？」啟齠裕骸巴福出於朝廷，一憑聖裁。」上曰：「持法要平，朕豈為李實？爾五虎、五彪，緣何不問他決不待時？」後又召對，上特攜李實原疏示閣臣曰：「此李實參問周起元等原疏，卿等可詳觀之，看是朱在墨上，墨在朱上。」諸閣臣詳覽良久，俱對：「果是墨在朱上。」上曰：「可見是空頭本。」複命傳九卿科道遞閱皆然。閣臣改票：「李永貞決不可待時，劉若愚次一等，李實又次一等。」 |
