54  | 如來滅後，五濁惡世，厥有悟最上乘者，即我大師歟！大師俗姓柳，法號明演，累代家於相州湯陰縣。幼而溫敏，長而良逸，蘊顏子之德，昇孔子之堂。天寶季，擢明經第。寶應中，調補濮州臨濮尉，後遷濮陽丞。清能肅下，威能心豪，芳名振於齊魯之間，孰出其右。因詣方袍士，語及無生，喟然歎曰：「萬法歸空，一身偕幻，瑣瑣名位，曷足控摶？」遂投紱捐璽，適于京師。時神策都知兵馬使檢校御史大夫王駕鸖奏曰：「前件人舍官入道，樂在法門。因章敬皇后忌辰，伏請度為僧。」詔曰：「可。」乃隸名於洛最縣敬愛寺，因具戒於嵩岳壇場。厥後□茹一麻，身衣百納，洞達五方便，探賾修多羅。雖思代居梁，佛圖在趙，方茲蔑如也。興元初，延長定覺，念定舍那，七八年間，歷抵開法，龍象鱗萃，冠蓋雲集，濟濟焉，鏘鏘焉，得其門者或寡矣。思振錫，步及於鞏縣凈土寺，縣君隴西李公閑，洎夫人吳郡張氏，禮足歸依，虔心諦聽，凈財珍服，捨而勿吝。由是景附響和者，不可勝筭。非夫悲日懸空，寶炬破暗，其孰能臻於此乎？ |
