27  | 江南大營向公榮、江北大營琦善公駐兩城外圍，攻經年，未得一戰。內閣學士勝保公率兵追林逆一股，轉戰數千里。賊勢飆忽不可遏。欽差大臣直隸總督訥爾經額督兵敗賊於懷慶。賊之竄山西擾畿輔也。山西巡撫以下失守各員，與督兵之都統、提鎮大員多獲罪。詔授勝保為欽差大臣，逮訥爾經額治罪，特命惠親王為奉命大將軍，稱科爾沁郡王僧格林沁為參贊大臣，會兵進剿，賊勢少蹙。左都御史雷以誠募勇於揚州，並收■捐，以濟軍餉。各省■捐始於此。 |
