3  | 如永寧公主衣貼繡鋪翠襦，入宮中請以金飾肩輿，為藝祖所戒。既載於開寶五年矣，複見於開寶八年，而訛為「永康公主」。丁謂誣謫寇准，王曾疑其太重，丁謂曰，居停主人勿複言。既載於天禧四年矣，複見於乾興元年。越州升為府，既載於建炎四年矣，複見於紹興元年。甚至真德秀兼宮教，勸濟王孝敬以俟天命語，一篇之中，前後兩見。其餘重沓竄易之誤，不可枚舉。所紀元事，尤為疏漏。惟所載道學諸人，頗能採據諸家文集，多出於正史之外。然雜列制誥、贈言、寄札、祭文，鋪敘連篇，有同家牒，律以史法，於例殊乖。至於引用說部以補正史之闕者，又不辨虛實，徒求新異。如載吳曦之誅云：「初曦未叛時，嘗校獵塞上。一日夜歸，笳鼓競奏，轔載雜襲。曦方垂鞭四視，時盛秋天宇澄霽，仰見月中有一人，騎而垂鞭，與己惟肖。問左右，所見皆符，殊以為駭。嘿自念曰：『我當貴，月中人其我也。』揚鞭而揖之。其人亦揚鞭。乃大喜，異謀由是決」云云。其事雖見岳珂《桯史》。小說家無稽之語，可入諸編年之史乎？雖多亦奚以為，此之謂矣。 |
