非子居犬丘，集解徐廣曰：「今槐里也。」正義括地志云：「犬丘故城一名槐里，亦曰廢丘，在雍州始平縣東南十里。地理志云扶風槐里縣，周曰犬丘，懿王都之，秦更名廢丘，高祖三年更名槐里也。」好馬及畜，正義好，火到反。畜，許救反。善養息之。犬丘人言之周孝王，孝王召使主馬于汧渭之間，正義汧音牽。言於二水之閒，在隴州以東。馬大蕃息。孝王欲以為大駱適嗣。申侯之女為大駱妻，生子成為適。申侯乃言孝王曰：「昔我先酈山之女，正義申侯之先，娶於酈山。為戎胥軒妻，正義胥軒，仲衍曾孫也。生中潏，以親故歸周，保西垂，西垂以其故和睦。今我復與大駱妻，生適子成。申駱重婚，西戎皆服，所以為王。正義重，直龍反。言申駱重婚，西戎皆從，所以得為王。王即孝王。王其圖之。」於是孝王曰：「昔栢翳為舜主畜，畜多息，故有土，賜姓嬴。今其後世亦為朕息馬，朕其分土為附庸。」邑之秦，集解徐廣曰：「今天水隴西縣秦亭也。」正義括地志云：「秦州清水縣本名秦，嬴姓邑。十三州志云秦亭，秦谷是也。周太史儋云『始周與秦國合而別』，故天子邑之秦。」使復續嬴氏祀，號曰秦嬴。亦不廢申侯之女子為駱適者，以和西戎。
