221  | 韓琦，字稚圭，相州人。年二十登進士第，唱名第一。甲終，太史奏日下五色雲見。 與范公在兵間最久，二公名重一時，朝廷倚以為重，天下稱為韓、范，軍中有一韓一范之謡，嘉祐中拜平章事，時曽公亮為亞相，趙槩、歐公參政，凡事闗政令，則曰：「問集賢典故則曰問，東㕔文學則曰「問西㕔，至大事則自决」，人以為得宰相體。 為相十年，光輔三后」。上曰：「侍中，國之龜鑑」。歐公心服其徳量，嘗曰：「累百、歐陽修，何敢望韓公」。 公判相州，歐作《晝錦堂記》有云：「臨大節，决大事，垂紳正笏，不動聲氣，而措天下於泰山之安，可謂社稷之臣矣。 公嘗謂保初節易保，晚節難，故晚年事事著力。在北門時，有九日詩云：「不羞老圃秋容淡，且看黃花晚節香」。 公姿貌英特，圖繪傳天下，人謂如髙山大岳望之氣象雄傑，蓄泄雲雨，藏匿寶怪。或問伊川曰：「魏公可學否？」曰：「魏公是間氣」。 英宗朝，封魏國公。 薨，神宗親製神道碑賜之，題曰兩朝顧命定䇿元勲之碑》。 諡忠獻。 徽宗朝，追封魏王，曽南豐挽詩云：「錙銖赤舄無驕志，咳唾黃金有古風，覆冒遐荒知大度，委蛇艱急，見孤忠，謀謨丙魏丹青力，擁立昭宣柱石功。御筆新詩在新隴，哀榮誰得似初終。四子忠彥、粹、彥、純彥幼子嘉彥，徽宗朝拜相，封儀國公，官様文章。 |
