14  | 何夢瑤，字報之，南海人。惠士奇視學廣東，一以通經學古為教。夢瑤與同里勞孝輿、吳世忠，順德羅天尺、蘇珥、陳世和、陳海六，番禺吳秋一時並起，有「惠門八子」之目。雍正八年成進士，出宰粵西，治獄明慎，終奉天遼陽知州。性長於詩，兼通音律算術。謂蔡元定律呂新書，本原九章，為之訓釋。更取禦制律呂正義研究八音協律和聲之用，述其大要。參以曹廷棟琴學，為書一編。時稱其決擇精當。又著算迪，述梅氏之學，兼闡數理精蘊、歷象考成之旨。江藩謂近世為此學者，知有法，不知法之所以然；知之者，惟夢瑤也。 |
